The beautiful sharp contrast of ice and sunshine – an early-morning shot of an icy winter’s morning in my garden.
This Aloe ferox just keeps on delivering delight after delight every winter, providing much-needed sustenance of her sweet nectar to Sunbirds and insects and also making splashes of bright colour in an otherwise drab landscape.
This hardy succulent is indigenous to South Africa.

Gorgeous! Those flower spikes are quite spectacular!
ReplyDeleteWe have aloe vera growing in our garden and they are at varying stages of popping out their flower spikes...some of the flowers have started to open. We're almost in the midst of our winter here too.
You just gotta love aloes for the lovely splashes of colour they give us in winter when everything is drab Serena! Next on my list is an Aloe Vera...
